DELEGATES AND NATIONAL OFFICERS
Some important things to know:
- Read all tabs prior to choosing the Register tab. Note your authorized dates of travel are located in the General Information tab and the schedule of events may be found in the Program tab.
- YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS.
- Once you have checked in to the hotel, please stop by the Modern Woodmen registration area located on the second floor of the hotel in the Woodrow Wilson Lobby area.
- BRING YOUR CREDENTIAL WITH YOU TO REGISTRATION!
- Please register in the Woodrow Wilson Lobby before 7:00 pm on Sunday if at all possible.
- Arrive prior to the start of the National Convention sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, to be seated with your state delegation in the chairs with the appropriate seat covers for your state. Bring your white portfolio with you to these sessions.
- Dress for all National Convention sessions is business.
- Your name badge must be worn at all sessions.
- You and your registered guests wishing to board the motor coaches for the Monday night National Convention Banquet at the Air and Space Museum must wear name badges. In addition, should you and your guests wish to take advantage of the free Modern Woodmen motor coach shuttle on Tuesday afternoon to the National Mall, name badges must be shown to board the buses to and from the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center.
- The delegates will hear a report from the Mileage and Per Diem Committee during the convention and vote on the report. You must be present at all sessions of the convention to receive the per diem and mileage reimbursement, which will be distributed at the close of the National Convention on Wednesday morning. The per diem is intended to cover your costs enroute and your meals during the time the convention is in session. Your hotel expenses for your authorized days will be on Modern Woodmen of America's master account. You will only be responsible for incidental expenses charged to your room for Sunday through Wednesday, extra rooms and nights you wish to stay outside of your authorized days. A credit card will be required at check in to allow you to charge any incidental expenses.
- Delegates and National Officers will receive a round trip mileage reimbursement from their camp location to National Harbor, Maryland regardless of how they travel to the Convention.
- Please note the hotel does not provide check cashing services.
- The Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center is a SMOKE-FREE FACILITY.
